Enjoying life before the accident. Josh was about 14-15 years old. He and his friends made their own bike jumps.

About Me

My photo
We have 5 children and 5 grandchildren with one on the way. Eric and I were married in 1984 and are still together today. We met in church and raised our kids in that same church, We are still very involved at this same church. God has been there for us through many ups and downs in our family life. We have struggled with children with ADD, hyperactivity, strong wills, addictions, and one that became paralyzed at the age of 15 due to a car-pedestrian accident...he was the pedestrian. Eric and I have had to work through relationship issues (as do most couples), job loss, and financial problems. Even though we are believers, that doesn't mean we will never have problems. We just know that God is there for us through these struggles. There has been a lot of growth through these times.

PISTONS GAME

Tomorrow (Wed.) Eric, Josh, Kristi, and a couple friends are going to a Pistons Game in Auburn Hills at The Palace. They are all pretty excited! They will be getting back very late tomorrow night. What a great memory this will make.

Therapy is going very well. Josh is still working on the same things. It will take lots and lots of repeated exercising of the muscles to make progress. The day WILL come when Josh will walk again!!!

Josh did have a painful mishap at therapy yesterday. He accidentally dropped a weight on his pinky finger. OUCH!!! It split the skin and it really bled. Right after he left therapy we stopped at the pharmacy next door to pick up butterfly bandaids and a splint to protect it from getting bumped. It seems to be doing much better today. It still hurts, but it looks better.

PRAYER

Just to keep things real...our family could really use prayer right now. We have four teenagers with modern-day teenage problems. There is a spiritual war going on in this world and the battleground is smack dab in the middle of our family. Pray that Eric and I will have the Godly wisdom to bring peace and maturity in our kids' hearts. Pray that our kids will see past themselves to become a positive contribution to this spiritually war-torn world.

Thank you,
Sue
